Bridesmaids make a great contribution to the success of a wedding, helping and supporting the bride on her big day, and often supporting her on her hen night. It is traditional for the bride to give her bridesmaids a present in recognition of these services, the type of present being dependant on the age of the bridesmaid.

As an alternative to the usual presents, why not consider giving an evening handbag? Every girl loves a handbag, and an evening bag, whether a clutch bag, mini handbag or shoulder bag is bound to please. You know your bridesmaids' favourite colours and types, will she want a small, chic black clutch bag, a pretty pink mini handbag or perhaps a glitzy gold evening bag. A silver handbag would be a safe choice as it goes with a wide range of colours, especially dark ones, and should be a useful addition to any girls handbag collection.
