Cartier Handbags Donated to Charity Shopposted on 2 September 2010 | posted in Handbag and fashion Articles
Charity shops can often be a dumping ground for peoples clothing rubbish, but luck has changed for one shop.
STAFF at the Oxfam charity shop in Yeovil have been left shocked after receiving a donation of two genuine Cartier handbags – worth around £1,650.
Shop manager Andrew Cordery said the two bags were handed in with authentication and the original protective bags they came in.
“Unfortunately, I didn't get to meet the kind person who donated these valuable items, but I would like to thank her for them,” he said.
“They were handed in to one of our volunteers from a donor who drove to our back door along with some very nice clothing items, and before I could go out and say thank-you, she had gone.”
The kind donor also gave the Oxfam store a Mulberry filofax worth around £175 if bought new.
The items have all been listed on Oxfam’s website in the hope that they will sell soon and help raise money for the charity’s projects.
