Two thieves on motorbikes have been caught by Police after designer handbags, believed to be worth around £70,000, were snatched in a daring raid from one of London's most exclusive designer stores.
Smash'n'grab thieves hit Roger Vivier's Sloane Street store in the early morning, looting exclusive designer handbags, hours before they were to feature as the centrepiece of a new product launch. The bags were said to retail at oround £8,000 each
Scotland Yard said today two suspected raiders had been arrested after a high-speed chase across London. The two men were being questioned at a west London police station after crashing their motorcycle in the city-centre chase.
A spokeswoman for the store said: "They would be very obvious because there are no others in existence. It would have been very difficult to sell them without attracting attention."
