Pearls have been a much sought after fashion accessory for over 2000 years. In those days pearls were considered to be a valuable treasure. Not only were they worn by royalty, they were also used as decoration for furniture.

Once pearls were said to represent dignity and wealth and were also thought a little ‘old fashioned’. Over the years these thoughts have changed and pearls have become a high fashion item. Pure pearls are rare and expensive but with today’s modern technology it is possible to create high quality ‘faux’ pearls of different grades and prices, making them affordable to everyone.

Fashion trends change so quickly now and most of us prefer to have lots of inexpensive fashion jewellery and just one or two special pieces of real jewellery.

Add to your fashion jewellery collection with a single row of pearls with perhaps diamante stones for added glamour. Pearl pendants mixed with glass beads or semi precious stones can look lovely teamed with the right outfit.
