Help charities with your unwanted shoes and handbags.posted on 9 January 2010 | posted in Handbag and fashion Articles
When walking down any high street you will see posters in charity shop windows all appealing for more stock. They don't want to be a dumping ground for your old junk, they need new and nearly new items.
It's the start of a new year and time for a clear out of your wardrobe. Have you been hoarding handbags and shoes that have rarely been used or never used at all? We have all bought a handbag on a whim only to find that it does not match any of our clothes. It gets relegated to the back of the wardrobe or under the bed to be forgotten. Have a good rummage round your bedroom and see what hidden treasures you can uncover.
If you have not worn or used a fashion item within a week of buying it, then it's likely that you never will.
Be brutal in deciding what you really need to keep and don't continue to be a hoarder.
I picked up a perfect pink Fiorelli bag at a charity shop for only £3.00. When I got it home, I found a pound coin in one of the inside pockets, what a bargain. I had the pleasure of using the bag a couple of times and gave it back for someone else to buy.
You may have the exact colour or style of bag or shoe that someone has been searching for to match an outfit. So make someone happy and do your bit for charity at the same time. With all that new storage space you have created, think of the fun you can now have shopping to fill it.
